Is it better to be a Doctor or Nurse Practitioner?

In life with certain themes sometimes you have to play it safe. In this issue theres a determination in these careers because you have to be able to know what you can handle. So in this case I have researched what would be better. Including the salaries and info from my reseach on google i have found that some doctors and Nurse Practitioner make the same amount. But I have also read in a magazine called the PEOPLE actually wish they didnt become a doctor but just a Nurse Practitioner because they dont have a normal life. The Doctor was not able to have children or a family or even get married because she had to dedicate her life and time to her job of being a Doctor. I didnt expect to actually read something like. I was only expecting to read how much they like it, how great the money was and also how well they are respected!!

Crystallyn,

I'm having a hard time following your reasoning. FIrst of all, where did you find out that "some doctors and Nurse Practitioner make the same amount"? I don't see a citation. What was the article title in People?

Also, you leave some questions unanswered. What is a nurse practitioner? What is the average salary of both? Are there other instances of doctors sacrificing?
